When Jesus at Easter appeared to Mary Magdalene, it was in a garden. There, Jesus awaits us also. The message of the wounded-and-victorious One is “Peace.” By His wounds we are healed. By ours, we learn what it means to be loved and saved, commissioned to carry Jesus’ fruitful work forward in compassion.
