The words of Jesus today are especially challenging: to love with our whole heart and soul and mind requires us to “unplug” and be present to one another; to engage and accompany one another as God is engaged with us and accompanies us; to hear God’s voice within, to listen, to strive to understand, internalize and respond in love, mercy and compassion.
